The "Experience" factor
I fit the demographic profile mentioned here very closely. I have been looking for work in Energy Efficiency / Sustainability for about a month. My experience has been:
All of the Energy Efficiency management level jobs I have seen, applied for and talked to people about, all want a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in the Energy Efficiency field.
So, for someone who wants to move from another sector - its the old catch - you need experience to get a job.
