Through its Science and Public Policy Program, the center has assisted a variety of organizations, primarily government agencies, in their efforts to obtain consensus for new projects. Its support services include: conflict resolution, within an organization or among two or more organizations; facilitation; process design; and project management. It works at local, national, and international levels and concentrates in seven substantive areas: agriculture, food, and nutrition; biotechnology and genetic resources; energy; environmental quality; health; natural resources; and science and technology.
