Eco-Tech
Scandinavia is an international meeting place that provides you with
the opportunity to bring in new business and keep up to speed on
developments in the whole environmental sphere. Swedish environmental
technology is well to the fore in areas such as bioenergy, waste,
recycling and sustainable development in society. The exhibition will
feature new solutions for sustainable development and act as a platform
for discussions on environmental work from a wide range of perspectives.

Late last autumn, 116 exhibitors, 2,600 visitors and 1,665 companies
gathered for three days in Göteborg at the Swedish Exhibition Centre
during Eco-Tech Scandinavia’s exhibition, which became an exciting
venue for meetings and business in environmentally oriented industries.
Besides European media coverage, Chinese television filmed the event, and a Chinese delegation attended.
“More
companies were represented than previously, and I think that the
environmental focus of the event as well as our matchmaking services
were reasons contributing to the overall increases,” says manager Ann
Åfeldt.
Eco-Tech Scandinavia 2008 – the eleventh of its kind – will
have a distinct business slant, and a strong focus on new technology
and innovations. It will be coupled with an international conference to
create a meeting place for the whole industry.
Eco-Tech Scandinavia will feature:

•  Waste & Recycling
•  Energy
•  Transport
•  Environmental Competence
•  Air, Soil & Water
•  Biogas Highway
•  Innovation Street

The
current situation in the oil refining, chemical and petrochemical
industry is evolving. Stringent governmental regulation and the
requirements of the Kyoto Protocol means that companies are investing
huge amounts of capital in new technologies, strategies and clean
development mechanisms. There is the need for these companies to know
how to best implement these changes in their already profitable plants
and refineries and how they can successfully minimise the possible
costs and take advantage of the possible opportunities such as leaner,
more efficient operations, an increase in profits and the ever sought
after, competitive edge.

Our conference is specially designed to address and the discuss the
challenges and opportunities by bringing together industry leaders to
share their experiences, as well as understand the potential value of
best in class strategies and emerging innovative technologies. Take
this chance to network with the industry's top experts and benefit from
this premium event.

Reducing emissions underpins just about everything we do in the power industry. Now in it's 3rd year the EXPPERTS conference provides an important international platform where we can assess where we have got to on power plant emissions reduction and discuss the challenges as well as the opportunities.

The first two days will focus on cutting edge emissions reduction technologies and explore power plant experience, including retrofit. We will review developments and promote the exchange of best practice in the field of "conventional" pollutants (in particular SOx, NOx, particulates and mercury). We will also look ahead to emerging carbon capture and storage technologies, as well as exploring the concept of "capture readiness".

The third day will be a workshop on the practicalities of biomass co-firing in coal fired stations, where we will encourage the exchange of experience between power plants that have been doing this or are planning to do it, review available technologies and assess future prospects. This workshop will be held at Electrabel's Ruien power station which has played a pioneering role in the field of biomass co-firing and is a particularly appropriate location for
a workshop focusing on practical experience.
For anyone concerned with power plant emissions, and how to reduce them, the presentations and networking opportunities planned for EXPPERTS 2008 make it an event not to be missed!
